| The Randolph Ranch project is featured in Sarah Susanka's latest book, Not-So-Big Remodeling.
|
A modest ranch, a great location, a terribly outdated and a cut up floor plan...what to do? This renovation involved extensive reworking of existing spaces without adding any square footage or relocating any of the spaces. The primary components of the project are:
~ A new entry court and front door ~ New kitchen cabinets ~ Renovated family room with a new sweeping bay window ~ Opened up living and dining areas. A specially composed glass wall connects these spaces to the rear yard. ~ A glassed in study provides acoustical privacy with a view across the living/dining areas into the landscape beyond
Focusing on interior details, custom millwork and creating areas for their daughter's original art collection, the house has developed into a comfortable and sophisticated living space.
