| The 760 space parking facility, along with the new visitor center (pictured top right), are key components to the Atlanta Botanical Garden's current expansion. Key elements include:
1 Large pedestrian entrance to Piedmont Park (pictured under construction in bottom middle) 2 Large, tree covered berm to screen the six level structure 3 Top level trellis (vines are not yet growing in this image) shading +/- 30% of the top level 4 Top level storm water run-off feeds a 100,000 gallon cistern to provide irrigation water 5 Low profile top level lighting to minimize light spill 6 Direct grade access (i.e. no elevators) via hillside stairway (pictured at left)
Steve Robinson was the lead designer/project director for the parking facility and visitor center (also on this website) through design development while employed at J/D/B Architects.
